Legal
Terms and conditions
The main terms that apply when you hold an account with Cliftonbury Bank.
Your account
You must give us accurate information when you apply and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details and one-time codes private. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.
- Accounts are subject to identity and eligibility checks.
- We may decline or close an account where the law requires it.
- You must not use the account for unlawful payments or fraud.
Payments
Deposits and withdrawals may be reviewed before they are applied. A transaction shown as pending has not yet changed your balance. We may ask for more information before approving a payment.
- Check the recipient details before sending money.
- External payments depend on the receiving bank.
- Once a payment is approved it may not be possible to recall it.
Changes and closing
We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes. You can close your account by contacting us, once any outstanding payments and checks are complete. Some records are kept after closure as required by law.
